Our dog bone backyard layout has LGB sectional track which was soldered together to avoid any voltage drops. But now the ties are falling off the 20 year old track and I don't see any easy way to fix it without unsoldering the pieces of track, which I don't want to do. Any ideas? Thanks!

You've discovered what a lot of us learned the hard way - "UV Resistant" ties are not UV-proof.
I am sorry, but I have thunk and thunk and have no ideas for replacing the ties without disassembling the track.
Don't know if you saw my article about taking up my Aristo track to replace the ties. It's actually an ongoing process; every year, the ties on another segment get too "iffy" to leave in place. Replacing my ties has involved a lot of unscrewing and re-screwing things.
http://www.familygardentrains.com/prime ... refurb.htmIn my case, I had extra track because I used to do a lot of demos, so I was able to swap out the bad with better while I replaced the ties. Tie strips as a rule are a WHOLE lot less expensive than full track, so saving the rail is crucial. Which is to say, I hope you have a really good soldering gun.
