Post subject:  Japanese prototypes?

Have been working on HO and N indoor models for a long time, but now would like to see if I can work on larger outdoor type, starting with maybe an off-the-shelf starter set but hoping someday creating my own including possibility for Japanese train prototypes.

Thanks for getting in touch. Some of the earliest Japanese locomotives were imported from the US, so if you can find photos, you might be able to doctor up a Bachmann train. That said, Japan is so far ahead of the US now, if you wanted to model the 21st century, you'd probably have to find something made in Japan or modify a Euro train.
