When I saw these at the convention in Cincinnati last year, I asked the rep if they still came with sound. He said, "of course." Which meant they took out the sound system (and some of the weight) when they made them DC ready. So my new 0-4-0s can't pull as many cars without slipping, and they're strangely silent. I can fix the weight issue, but the silence is deafening. I'd be happy with the old Big Hauler white noise chuff if it came to that. Are the sound cards for these available anywhere for less than the cost of the locomotive? Thanks. |
