My track isn't perfectly level so the pilot wheels on the 4-6-0 will often jump the track. I was wondering if adding a small lead weight to the arm that connects the two axles will solve the problem or at least help a bit. |

Lots of folks have done that. I also used those wheels (from dead locomotives) to replace the plastic pilot wheels on my Lionel Atlantics. |
