Post subject:  Value of Lionel "G Gauge" toy Christmas train?

It appears to have never been used, several tracks still bundled. It no longer has original packaging.

Do you know what the value of this Christmas Lionel set is?

Thanks for getting in touch. When these came out most stores had them for $130-160. After Christmas they closed them out for half or less of their original price - if you can find them. They are battery powered and not nearly as solid as Lionel O gauge trains. That said, they're a lot of fun, as long as you stock up on batteries. I set up similar trains for kids to run, but I usually use better track than they put in the box, since that's not the greatest. BTW, I got my sets on after-Christmas sales for $40 and $60 respectively.

The newer sets all have remote control, which the kids love. I'm not sure if your set has that or not.
