Just found this web site..Looking for manuals for the g scale scientific trains. Can't seem to find anything. I do not have a layout but enjoy re building and tinkering with lgb and now lionel g scale. I think everyone makes fun of the scientific trains but i just replaced a push switch in one of my cheaper ones, added some weight and they are not bad. Next project will be to design a track power pick up and run the trains either way. Did a mod on the Polar Express and it works great either on battery or track power. Lionel g scale cars and engines are a lot cheaper ..Thanks

Thanks for getting in touch. I am relatively positive about Scientific toys and Lionel G-gauge trains because they're SO MUCH better than the other brands of battery-powered plastic-track train sets.

That said, the Scientific Toys people DO sell replacement parts for some of their trains, but not all of them.

No service, no manual, but that still puts them way ahead of New Bright and a number of others.

IF you have a digital camera and can send me records of ANY maintenance or mods you do on these trains I know that the other folks tinkering with them would be VERY grateful.

Also, I'd be very glad to have photos of your RR set up, hint, hint. :-)

Have a great spring - Paul
