Post subject:  Sometimes you just need to run a train

Our new garden railroad, the Camden & Mount Holly RR, is under construction but it is not close to being finished or even complete enough to operate a train as of yet. Knowing what is said about "All work and no play", sometimes I need to stop working on the railroad, take a break, and "run a train" even if it is just around a temporary loop of track on the patio!
I hope to have photos of the real railroad sometime soon.

Dennis

PerryO, thanks for the photo. I always encourage folks to have someplace they can run trains while they're working on the "real" railroad. If you're not having any fun with it, well, that's no fun. :-)

Looks good, Perry. I'd love to see your finished railroad.

Hi Steve,

In some ways I hope the C&MtH Railroad will never be completely finished. However, we are making some progress on the major construction aspects of the project. I now have a track loop that is complete enough to use on occasion so I have moved off of the patio. Still have a lot of work to do, but sometimes you just need to run a train!

Looking good, PerryO. You'll be VERY glad you decided to go with a raised ROW.
