Hi, everyone! New to the forum and just wanted to get acquainted with you.
We (my husband and I) live in Wisconsin and have been running G Scale trains since 2007. Started with an inexpensive Buddy L set I found in a catalog. Bought some brass track to keep outside on our patio instead of the indoor track that came with the set. Had so much fun, that we bought more brass track and started putting in a permanent garden railroad. Even after all this time, it is still more railroad than garden, simply because of the slope of our yard and the location we chose for our railroad.
Since that humble beginning, we've purchased USA Trains and Aristo-Craft locomotives and have rolling stock from many different companies. We mix and match scales to run what we like. Many of our cars have graphics from places we've visited or things we use/eat such as Tootsie Roll Pops, McDonald's, Coca-Cola and Wisconsin cheese. We also have a large collection of U.S. Army cars. Some that we've painted and added our own loads to.
Would love to hear from the rest of you...where are you located, what types of trains do you like to run and anything else you'd like to share.
Looking forward to reading more posts.
